Todo.Today is a community-driven platform, but discovering and curating events is still a very hands-on process.
Every day we actively search, review, organize, and curate events from many different sources to help people quickly understand what’s happening around them.
The goal is not simply to collect events. The goal is to create a useful and trustworthy daily guide to local life.
Where events come from
Some events are submitted directly by facilitators, organizers, artists, venues, communities, and explorers using the platform.
Others are discovered through ongoing local research and curation. This can include public websites, social media pages, event communities, local groups, venue schedules, recommendations from the community, and other public sources.
Because local scenes change constantly, discovering events is an ongoing daily process.
Community-driven, but curated
Todo.Today is not an automatic event feed.
Even when events are discovered from public sources, they are usually reviewed, rewritten, categorized, formatted, optimized, and curated before appearing on the platform.
The intention is to make local discovery:
- clearer
- easier to browse
- easier to trust
- less noisy
Why creator submissions matter
The best event information usually comes directly from the creators themselves.
When facilitators and organizers submit their own events, the information is normally more accurate, more complete, easier to verify, and updated faster.
Creators can also manage their events, enable Creator Channels, grow followers, and build a long-term presence on the platform.
This is one of the reasons Todo.Today is becoming increasingly community-driven.
Local discovery never stops
Finding events requires continuous work.
We actively monitor local communities, follow venues and facilitators, review submissions, verify information, discover new happenings, and organize events into meaningful daily digests.
Some events are discovered weeks in advance. Others appear only hours before they happen.
The platform evolves constantly because local life evolves constantly.
The bigger vision
Todo.Today is not just trying to build an event calendar.
The vision is to make local life easier to discover and participate in through a combination of:
- community participation
- human curation
- local discovery
- personalization
- technology
The goal is simple:
help people discover more of what’s happening around them in real life 🙌
