Choosing a Location

The Where section tells people how to find your event. Most of the time it’s just a quick search — but you also have options for events where the location should stay private until someone signs up.

Searching for your place

Start typing the name of your venue. If it already exists, select it and you’re done — your event is pinned to that spot, and it joins everything else happening there.

Can’t find it?

If your venue doesn’t come up — maybe it’s a private house, a beach spot, or a new place — you can drop a pin on the map instead. We’ll use that location for your event.

Secret Location

For events that need tickets or RSVP, you can keep the exact spot hidden until someone registers. Switch from Place to Secret Location, and instead of a pin you’ll:

  • Pick a general area so people know roughly where it is.
  • Add a short location note — for example, “exact address revealed 24 hours before.”

Your event still appears in that area’s listings, but the precise location is only shared once a guest has booked or been approved. It’s perfect for intimate gatherings, private venues, or anything where you want to know who’s coming first.

For a regular public event, a simple place search is all you need — and it connects your event to that venue’s page automatically.
