{"id":104774,"date":"2026-06-08T12:05:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T05:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/todo.today\/?post_type=guide&#038;p=104774"},"modified":"2026-08-02T12:07:24","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T05:07:24","slug":"how-event-moderation-works-on-todo-today-2","status":"publish","type":"guide","link":"https:\/\/todo.today\/guides\/how-event-moderation-works-on-todo-today-2\/","title":{"rendered":"How Event Moderation Works on Todo.Today"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To keep Todo.Today useful, accurate, and relevant, most events are reviewed before they appear in local channels and daily digests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you create an event, it may become visible in different places at different stages of the moderation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Happens After I Submit an Event?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you submit an event, it is received by Todo.Today and enters the moderation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on your account, channel ownership, and the event status, your event may already be visible in your creator or venue channel while still waiting for review for the local destination channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During moderation, we check things such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is this a real, in-person activity?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the date, time, and location clear?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the pricing information understandable?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the registration or join method clear?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the event follow Todo.Today guidelines?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding Event Statuses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pending Review<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your event has been received and is waiting for moderation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No action is required from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event is not yet published in the local destination channel or included in daily digests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Published Channel (Orange)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your event is visible in your creator or venue channel but is still waiting for moderation before appearing in the local destination channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This allows channel owners to build and manage their schedules while moderation is still in progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Published (Green)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your event has been approved and is live on Todo.Today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may appear on the website, apps, destination channels, and other areas of the platform depending on the channel and publication settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Published + Daily Digest (Black)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your event has been approved and selected for inclusion in the daily WhatsApp and Telegram digest for the destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not every published event is guaranteed to appear in a daily digest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Needs Fixes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your event cannot be approved yet because some information is missing, unclear, or does not follow the guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A moderation note will explain what needs to be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After making the requested changes, simply save and re-submit the event for review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common Reasons Events Need Fixes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Missing or unclear pricing information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The activity does not match the selected activity type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The title does not follow the title guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The location is missing or unclear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The registration method is not explained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Important event details are missing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Do We Moderate Events?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Todo.Today is a community-driven platform, but it is also curated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moderation helps keep event information accurate, prevents spam and duplicate listings, and makes it easier for explorers to discover high-quality local experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To keep Todo.Today useful, accurate, and relevant, most events are reviewed before they appear in local channels and daily digests.
