It has its own type on Todo.Today because it works differently from a single event, both in the form and in how it is shown. This guide covers the whole Retreat form in one place.

Is it a retreat?

The simple test: it runs over more than one day, and people register to join the whole thing.

A 3-day festival where each day stands on its own and people can come to just one is 3 separate events. See How to Submit an Event.

A weekly class is a recurring event, not a retreat. It is also covered in How to Submit an Event.

What makes a retreat different

A date range, not a day. You set a start date and an end date. Start and end times are optional.

No recurring option. Each retreat is its own listing. If you run the same retreat again next month, duplicate it and change the dates.

No walk-in. People join a retreat by registering with you or by buying a ticket online.

Where it appears

Your retreat appears on your channel, on its own page, and in the dedicated Retreats section. Retreats are not part of the daily WhatsApp and Telegram digest, which is reserved for events happening that day.

Step by step

1. Add your photos

Add up to four images and one video, and tap the image you want as the cover. The video can’t be the cover. Show the place and the experience: the space, the setting, people in a past retreat. Avoid text-heavy posters, the title, dates and price already appear next to the image. Keep the important part near the center, because images are cropped from the sides to fit different screens.

2. Choose the type, then title, details, category and tags

Pick Retreat. The form changes to match: the recurring option disappears and the date section becomes a range.

Keep the title to what the retreat is. Don’t put dates, the price or the venue name in it, they each have their own field. In the details, cover what happens across the days, who it is for, what is included (accommodation, meals, transfers) and what to bring. Pick one category and up to five tags. For more on titles and descriptions, see Writing a Great Title & Description.

3. How can people join?

A retreat has two options:

RSVP Required: people register with you directly. Under Registration method, choose how they reach you: WhatsApp, Telegram, Line, a Google Form or your website.

Online Tickets Only: people buy online. Add the direct link to the ticket or booking page.

The link must go straight to the registration or purchase step. An Instagram profile, a Linktree or your homepage will be sent back for fixes.

4. When

Pick the Start date and the End date. Add a start and end time only if they help, for example check-in at 14:00 on the first day.

5. Where

Search for the place. Start typing the venue name and select it. If it isn’t listed, drop a pin on the map.

Secret Location. If you prefer not to publish the exact address, switch from Place to Secret Location, pick the general area, and add a short location note, for example “address sent after registration”. Your retreat still appears in that area’s listings.

6. Exchange (the price)

Paid: the full price for the whole retreat, in THB or USD. You can add an early-bird price with its own end date. It switches back to the full price on its own.

Donation: open, a minimum amount, or a suggested amount.

Free: no charge.

If you chose Online Tickets Only, the retreat has to be Paid. If the price depends on the room type, enter the lowest price and use the Price Note (for example “shared room”) and your details to explain the options.

After you submit

If you have had a listing approved before, your retreat goes live on your channel straight away. If this is your first submission, it is reviewed first. See How Event Moderation Works.

Submit early. People plan retreats weeks ahead, so a retreat listed a month or two before it starts has far more time to be found and saved.

Common questions

My retreat has an open day or an opening ceremony anyone can join. Submit that part separately as an event. The retreat listing is for the full program people register for.

I run the same retreat several times a year. Submit each run as its own retreat. Duplicate the first one and change the dates.

Why isn’t my retreat in the daily digest? By design. The digest covers what is happening today. Retreats have their own section, where people who are looking for a multi-day experience will find them.

How to list a multi-day retreat, immersion or training on Todo.Today: a date range instead of a single day, registration or tickets instead of walk-in, and where your retreat appears once it is live.

[1188
post-105163","guide","type-guide","status-publish","hentry","guide_category-creators
["GET
