Turntables on the Chao Phraya
Discovered on Todo.Today, for more events in Bangkok
Your Sunday soundtrack by the river is back! Inspired by Nickodemus’ legendary Turntables on the Hudson, this weekly Sunday gathering celebrates global grooves, soulful rhythms, and feel-good dance music. It began two years ago when Nickodemus and Nappy G brought their infectious blend of world music and house to the Bangkok Island dancefloor. Turntables on the Chao Phraya is a regular Sunday ritual where music, people, and cultures unite by the river. Expect Latin and African rhythms, tropical disco, soulful house, and unexpected musical discoveries.
This Sunday’s line-up features DJ Mizuyo, whose sets blend exotic Madagascar street corners with high-tech dance production, creating a positive and peaceful vibe. Dance with Sammy(TM), a dancer first and DJ second, will take you on a journey through bootlegs, mashups, rave classics, and euphoric old-school house hits with 90s disco diva sass.
Come early, grab a drink, and find your spot overlooking the green shores of Bang Krachao. Whether you want to dance, discover new sounds, or unwind with friends, there’s a place for everyone. The boat stays docked, but the music will take you places. Free entry, good people, beautiful views, and music that makes you move. See you by the river!
