Todo.Today is a curated, community-driven platform for discovering real-life experiences happening today, tomorrow & beyond.

The idea behind Todo.Today

Todo.Today started as a simple daily WhatsApp message to help people quickly discover what’s happening around them.

The platform is built around the concept of a daily guide to local life: simple, curated, easy to browse, and focused on real experiences people can actually attend.

Because of this, clarity matters.

People should immediately understand:

  • what is happening
  • where it happens
  • when it happens
  • who is hosting or guiding the experience
  • who it is for
  • and how to join

The easier your event is to understand, the better it will usually perform.

Please make sure the host, facilitator, guide, DJ, artist, organizer, collective, or brand behind the event is clearly specified.

Todo.Today automatically uses the host field to display event titles in a clean and consistent format, for example:

This helps explorers quickly understand who is behind the experience while helping creators build long-term visibility on the platform.

Community-driven, but curated

Most events on Todo.Today come directly from the community.

Facilitators, organizers, artists, venues, teachers, and community members submit their own events directly through the platform.

Todo.Today then adds moderation, structure, formatting, organization, and curation to create a cleaner and more trustworthy discovery experience.

The goal is not to become an open spammy event board, but a high-quality guide to local life.

Submission guidelines

A few things are especially important when submitting events to Todo.Today.

📅 Submit events in advance for maximum visibility.
Events submitted early have more time to be reviewed, discovered, saved, and considered for the daily digest.

🚫 Events submitted after 5pm the day before may miss the daily digest.
The WhatsApp and Telegram digests are usually curated in advance. Late submissions may still appear on Todo.Today, but they may not be reviewed in time for the next morning’s message.

✍️ Keep event details short, clear, and easy to understand.
Explorers should quickly understand what is happening, where it happens, when it happens, who it is for, and how to join.

🔄 Not all events are featured in WhatsApp or Telegram.
The daily digest is limited and curated. I rotate events to keep the message balanced, diverse, and interesting.

✅ All approved events are featured on Todo.Today.
Even if your event is not included in the WhatsApp or Telegram digest, approved events can still be discovered on https://todo.today.

Understanding moderation

Todo.Today is curated manually.

Usually, the first event submitted by a creator goes into Pending Review.

Once the creator has an approved event, future submissions may be published automatically to the main feed and website, along with your channel and your followers’ Life Stream. The daily WhatsApp and Telegram digest stays curated either way.

This helps trusted creators publish faster while keeping the overall discovery experience high quality.

Use a clear event title

Your title should quickly explain the experience.

Keep it short, readable, and focused on what the event actually is.

Avoid:

  • all caps
  • excessive emojis
  • long promotional phrases
  • repeating venue names
  • adding too much information into the title

Good examples:

  • Ecstatic Dance
  • Slow Flow Yoga
  • Salsa Social Night
  • Sound Healing Journey

Write a real description

The description should help people understand the actual experience, not just repeat logistical details.

A good description usually explains:

  • what the event is
  • what people can expect
  • who is hosting it
  • the atmosphere or vibe
  • any important practical details

This is especially important for workshops, ceremonies, classes, and community experiences where people want to understand the feeling and intention behind the event.

Use the correct location

Please select the correct venue or location whenever possible.

If the event happens at a known venue, use that venue.

Avoid vague or unclear locations unless there is a specific reason.

Clear locations help explorers trust the event and make plans more easily.

Make the price and join method clear

Explorers should immediately understand:

  • whether the event is free, donation-based, or paid
  • whether booking is required
  • whether tickets are needed
  • whether walk-ins are allowed

If tickets are required, use the ticket option and provide the correct ticket link.

If RSVP is required or recommended, make that clear.

Unclear pricing or booking instructions are one of the most common reasons for moderation delays.

Keep your information accurate

Creators are responsible for keeping event information up to date. Please make sure dates and times are correct, venue information is accurate, pricing is accurate, registration requirements are clear, and the description reflects the actual experience.

If something changes, update the event as soon as possible.

Cancel events that are no longer happening

If an event is cancelled, postponed, or moved, please update or cancel it immediately.

This helps maintain trust with explorers and prevents people from traveling to events that are no longer taking place. Repeated submissions of outdated, inaccurate, or cancelled events may affect future moderation decisions.

Recurring events

Todo.Today supports recurring events.

If your event repeats regularly, make sure the recurring schedule is configured correctly.

Keeping recurring events accurate helps explorers trust the platform and helps avoid outdated listings.

Use good images

A good image helps people connect with the experience.

Use clear, high-quality images that represent the actual event.

Avoid blurry images, unrelated stock photos, screenshots, or posters overloaded with tiny text.

Enable your Creator Channel

Creators can enable their own Creator Channel on Todo.Today.

This gives explorers one place to:

  • follow you
  • discover your upcoming events
  • save events
  • stay connected with your community

Your channel is also where your Daily Specials and 1:1 sessions live, so it holds everything you offer, not only your dated events.

Creator Channels are becoming an important part of how people discover events beyond the daily highlights.

The daily digest philosophy

The WhatsApp & Telegram digests are intentionally limited.

Every day, only a selected group of events is featured.

The goal is to keep the digest:

  • simple
  • balanced
  • diverse
  • useful
  • easy to read

Not every approved event will appear in the digest, even if the event itself is good.
