Acro Jams are an opportunity to safely develop our acro skills, play with people of different sizes and skill levels, and engage in an uplifting tribe experience. This is NOT a lead class, we share skills and empower each other along the Acro journey. ππΌ
Jam Etiquette
1. Communicate: Clear communication is key. Discuss intentions, concerns, and boundaries with your partner before starting any poses.
2. Warm-Up: Always warm up your body before attempting acro yoga poses to prevent injuries.
3. Spotting: If you’re not actively participating in a pose, be ready to spot. This means paying attention and being prepared to assist if needed.
4. Respect Limits: Respect your own limits and those of your partner. Don’t push yourself or your partner beyond what feels safe and comfortable.
5. Consent: Always ask for consent before touching your partner, and respect their answer.
6. Hygiene: Maintain good personal hygiene to ensure a pleasant experience for both you and your partner.
7. Support: Offer support both physically and emotionally. Encourage your partner and offer assistance when needed.
8. Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to help improve each other’s practice, but do so respectfully and tactfully.
9. Gratitude: Express gratitude towards your partner for their efforts and energy during the practice.
10. Have Fun: Finally, remember to have fun! Acro yoga is just an experiment with connection, trust, and growth, so keep a positive attitude and enjoy the journey together.
