Ubud Square Performance: Festival Opening Night

Discovered on Todo.Today, for more events in Ubud

The centre of Ubud gathers under the stars, beneath the watchful gaze of Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati, as the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival opens its 2026 edition with an evening of dance, music and spoken word.

A guest speaker shares notes on the power of reading to change lives, followed by a performance by Ubud's own Kerta Art Studio. Indonesian and international artists then share one stage.

Featuring Anna Carey, Arthur R Flowers, Oka Rusmini, Patrick Freyne, Rizal Hadi, Sumanto Chattopadhyay and Ziggy Ramo.

Free, open to all, and a celebration of everything a story can do.

Part of the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival 2026 (21 to 25 October).
