What Can You Submit to Todo.Today? Events, Daily Specials & Retreats

Todo.Today is a curated platform for discovering real-life events, experiences, and communities happening around you, today, tomorrow & beyond.

We focus on authentic, in-person things you can actually join. The goal is simple: help people discover what’s happening around them and connect through real-life experiences.

On Todo.Today you can submit three kinds of things: Events, Daily Specials, and Retreats. Here’s what each one is.

Events — the heart of Todo.Today

An event is a real, in-person happening at a set time that people come together for. Think workshops, classes, music nights, dance, wellness sessions, meetups, markets, talks, nightlife, community gatherings, and pop-ups.

An event is a good fit when it has:

  • a specific date and time
  • a real physical location
  • a clear activity or experience
  • a group setting people can join

If someone can quickly understand what’s happening, where, when, and who it’s for, it’s usually a great event.

Daily Specials — your daily experiences

Some of the best things to do aren’t one-time events, they’re always there. A sauna and ice bath session, Taco Tuesday at your restaurant, an e-foil trial, a daily happy hour. These are your daily experiences, and on Todo.Today we call them Daily Specials.

A Daily Special is a standing offering people can join, but it’s not a hosted, one-time group event with a fixed start. It’s something your place or business offers on an ongoing basis.

Daily Specials live on your Creator or Venue Channel, so anyone who visits your channel can see everything you offer, not just your dated events. They also appear in a dedicated Daily Specials section on the main daily feed. They are not part of the daily WhatsApp digest, which is reserved for hosted community events.

If you run a business and used to wonder where your daily offering fits, this is it. Daily Specials give it a proper home.

1:1 sessions — private, one person at a time

Private sessions like a massage, a treatment, a personal coaching call, or a private lesson are a different kind of thing: there’s no group and no fixed start time, people simply book you.

We’re building a dedicated 1:1 format. Until it’s live, submit your private sessions as a Daily Special and we’ll place them correctly.

1:1 sessions live on your Creator or Venue Channel only. They don’t appear on the main daily feeds or in the daily digest, which are for things people can join together.

Retreats — multi-day immersions & trainings

A Retreat is a multi-day experience people sign up for as one thing, like a weekend immersion, a yoga teacher training, or a multi-day getaway.

The simple test: if it runs over more than one day and people register to join the whole thing, it’s a retreat. (If it’s a 3-day festival where each day stands on its own and people can come to just one, those are 3 separate events.)

Retreats are listed by their start and end dates. Start and end times are optional, because a retreat is about the days, not a single clock time.

What’s free and what’s paid

Submitting is free, and your Creator or Venue Channel is free. Everything you list, events, Daily Specials, Retreats, and 1:1 sessions, always appears on your own channel at no cost.

Events on the main daily feeds are free too, and always will be. That’s the heart of the platform.

In the coming weeks, placement of Daily Specials and Retreats on the main daily feeds becomes a paid option. Your channel listing stays free either way, so nothing you have today disappears. We’ll share the details before anything changes.

What doesn’t fit

Todo.Today isn’t for online or virtual events, or generic ads with no real activity behind them. We’re about real places and real people.

And if you run a business with a standing offering, you no longer have to force it into an “event”, submit it as a Daily Special instead. There’s a home for it now.

Why clarity matters

Clear submissions always perform better. When something has a strong title, a clear description, good images, and accurate details, it’s easier for explorers to understand, save, share, and show up for.

It also helps people save and follow you, and those saves and follows are a real signal of interest that helps your events get noticed, and considered for the daily digest.

How curation works

Todo.Today is community-driven, but it’s also curated. Approved events can appear on the website, your channel, and people’s personal feeds. The daily WhatsApp and Telegram digests are more limited, a selected list of highlights, kept simple, diverse, and easy to read.

Not every approved event appears in the daily digest, even great ones. There are usually far more good events than fit in one message. Posting early and building saves and follows all help.

Our standard

Todo.Today is built around quality, trust, community, and real-life connection. We want to feature things that bring people together and make it easier to decide what to do today.

If what you offer creates a real experience people can join, we’re happy to review it 🙌
